iPad App for LOVEFiLM
Pushbutton developed the new iPad app for LOVEFiLM.
LOVEFiLM is Europe’s largest subscription service –streaming movies and TV episodes over the Internet and sending DVDs by post. As LOVEFiLM’s key digital partner, Pushbutton spearheaded development of the new iPad app.
The new app allows users to browse titles to stream directly to the iPad as well as the capability to easily add movie, game, DVD and Blu-ray titles to your existing LOVEFiLM rental list. At the touch of a screen iPad users can watch trailers, browse titles, search for a particular title and also add reviews.
This is the third deployment that Pushbutton have produced in partnership with LOVEFiLM to bring Europe’s favourite video rental service to even more platforms making it one of the most accessible streaming services in Europe. Pushbutton have also developed apps for PlayStation®3, Oregan and SONY Connected TVs.
The slick development delivers high quality video via adaptive streaming, and the app tracks your progress through a film, so that if you need to take a break, you can always pick up where you left off.
It features smooth fades and transitions, flick scrolling and animation, and has what our CEO, Paula Byrne, calls lots of “dev love” lavished on it. In total, it all adds up to a highly polished user experience.
The app is free to download from the iTunes App Store now and totally free to use for all LOVEFiLM subscribers and also available in a DE version for German speakers.
