Founded in 2002, Pushbutton is the UK’s leading digital agency focused on interactive television content and services for new platforms including IPTV, internet-enabled TV sets, tablets, TV widgets, broadband Internet, satellite and cable.
In August 2011, Push Button Holdings was acquired by Amazon Inc. The company will continue under the same name and with the same management team as before. We are now Pushbutton an Amazon company.
The company’s founders and key staff formerly held senior positions at BSkyB, the original home of television interactivity. From a leadership position in satellite-based interactive services, the company is now active across many platforms including IPTV, TV Widgets, Internet-connected TVs, games machines, Pads and proprietary interactive devices in vertical markets.
Live examples of the company’s interactive TV output can be seen on BBC children’s channels, Turner’s Cartoon Network and the LOVEFiLM service on SONY BRAVIA internet TVs and the Playstation3. Previous high profile projects have included ‘red button’ interactives for some of the UK’s favourite TV shows and channels; Coronation Street, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! The X Factor, Disney Channel UK, and National Geographic Channel.
